Abstract
The nation’s scholars worked hard to serve the noble hadith. They laid down rules for identifying narrators, their justice, controlling them, and explaining the condition of their narrations. Among them was Imam Yahya bin Saeed Al- Qattan. His prowess in knowing the narrators and distinguishing their hadiths was evident. He criticized the reports of trustworthy narrators, and judged most of them to be weak. Some of them were absolutely weak. Some of them made it weak, restricting it to a specific sheikh The reason for their transmitters was most likely not to select their sheikhs, and to narrate them from weak narrators. He used various phrases and words to weaken them, including absolute terms, and among them: comparative and comparative terms. The critical imams agreed with the ruling of Imam Yahya bin Saeed Al-Qattan and did not disagree with that
الملخص
اجتهد علماءُُ ا لأُُمََّة في خدمة الحديث الشريف، فوََضْْعوا قواعد لمعرفة الرُُّواة وعدالتهم وضََبْْطهم، وبيان حال مروياتهم، ومنهم: الإمام يحيى بن سعيد القطان، فقد تجلت براعته في علم الرُُّواة وتمييز حديثهم، فنقد مراسيل الرُُّواة الثقات، وحكم على أغلبها بالضعف، فمنهم من ضعفه تضعيفًًا مطلقًًا، ومنهم من ضعفه تضعيفًًا مقيدًًا بشيخ معين، وكان سبب مراسيلهم على الأغلب عدم انتقاء شيوخهم، وروايتهم عن الرُُّواة الضعفاء، وقد استخدم عبارات وألفاظ متعددة في تضعيفهم، منها: الألفاظ المطلقة، ومنها: الألفاظ المقارنة والمفا ضلة، وقد وافق الأئمة النقاد حكم الإمام يحيى بن سعيد القطان ولم يخالف في ذلك .
