Abstract
This research deals with the novel The Jewel and the Captain by the Omani novelist Zuwaina Al-Kalbani, through an analytical and critical reading, trying to highlight how the novelist employed the elements of the fictional work; To show the reader what it aims at, and the importance of the subject of this research stems from the fact that it sheds light on the most important techniques of fictional work in a realistic historical novel. The study relied on the analytical descriptive approach that deals with the artistic form through description, analysis and criticism, while relying on the historical approach and the psychological approach at other times. intended to search. As for the introduction, it dealt with the definition of the research topic and its importance, previous studies, study questions, research methodology, and study division.The study subjects are: The first topic: personalities, the second topic: event construction and narration, the third topic: space for my place and time, the fourth topic: the manifestations of heritage, followed by a conclusion that monitors the most important findings of the study, and is proven by sources and references.
الملخص
يتناول هذا البحث البنية السردية في رواية الجوهرة والقبطان للروائية العمانية زوينة الكلباني، من خلال قراءة تحليلية نقدية، محاولا أن يبرز كيفية توظيف الروائية عناصر العمل الروائي؛ لتبرز للقارئ ما ترمي إليه، وتنبع أهمية موضوع هذا البحث من كونه يلقي الضوء على أهم تقنيات العمل الروائي في رواية واقعية تاريخية. وقد اعتمدت الدراسة على المنهج الوصفي التحليلي الذي يعالج الشكل الفني من خلال الوصف والتحليل والنقد، مع الاتكاء على المنهج التاريخي والمنهج النفسي أحيانا أخرى، وقسمت الدراسة إلى مقدمة وأربعة مباحث، وخاتمة ترصد أهم ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج، إضافة لقائمة بالمصادر والمراجع. أما المقدمة فقد تناولت التعريف بموضوع البحث وأهميته، والدراسات السابقة، وتساؤلات الدراسة، ومنهج البحث، وتقسيم الدراسة. ومباحث الدراسة هي: المبحث الأول: الشخصيات، المبحث الثاني: بناء الحدث والسرد، المبحث الثالث: الفضاء المكاني والزماني، المبحث الرابع: تجليات التراث، يعقبها خاتمة ترصد أهم ما توصلت إليه الدراسة من نتائج، وثبت بالمصادر والمراجع.
