الذكاء الثقافي وعلاقته بالمرونة المعرفية لدى طلبة الجامعة المبتعثين السعوديين بالخارج والطلبة الدوليين في الجامعات السعودية
Abstract
The study aimed to identify the relationship between cultural intelligence and cognitive flexibility and recognize the level of cultural intelligence and cognitive flexibility. The study adopted the descriptive, relational approach, and the total sample was (836) from expatriate students, including (555) Saudi scholarship students and (281) international students in the Saudi universities. Tools employed by the study to achieve the objectives included; Ang et al.(2007) Cultural Intelligence Scale, and the Cognitive Flexibility Scale of Aldarder et al.(2018). The study concluded that there is a positive relationship between cultural intelligence and cognitive flexibility, and there is a medium level of cultural intelligence among scholarship and international students, and a high level of cognitive flexibility among scholarship and international students. The study recommended raising the level of cultural knowledge through carrying out cross-cultural activities that increase contact and support experiences. The study also recommended investment of the high level of cognitive flexibility revealed among in the study sample.
الملخص
هدفت الدراسة للتعرف على العلاقة بين الذكاء الثقافي والمرونة المعرفية، والتعرف على مستوى الذكاء الثقافي والمرونة المعرفية. واتبعت الدراسة المنهج الوصفي الارتباطي، وبلغ مجموع العينة (٨٣٦) من الطلبة المغتربين منهم(٥٥٥) طلبة سعوديين مبتعثين و(٢٨١) طلبة دوليين في جامعات سعودية. واستخدمت الدراسة لتحقيق أهدافها مقياس الذكاء الثقافي (أنج وآخرين،۲۰۰۷) ومقياس المرونة المعرفية للدرادر وآخرين (۲۰۱۸). وتوصلت لوجود علاقة إيجابية بين الذكاء الثقافي والمرونة المعرفية. ووجود مستوى متوسط من الذكاء الثقافي ومستوى مرتفع من المرونة المعرفية لدى الطلبة المبتعثين والطلبة الدوليين. وأوصت الدراسة برفع مستوى المعرفة الثقافية للطلبة والقيام بالفعاليات عبر الثقافية التي تزيد من التواصل وتدعم الخبرات، وتوصي باستثمار المستوى المرتفع من المرونة المعرفية لدى الطلبة عينة الدراسة.
